Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you and V-ChargeNow LLC ("V-ChargeNow," "we," "us," or "our"). By scanning a station QR code, completing a digital checkout, tapping a payment method, or releasing a portable power bank from any V-ChargeNow kiosk, you acknowledge and agree to these Terms.

To verify active payment credentials and enable seamless power bank unlock, initiating a rental securely tokenizes your credit card, debit card, Apple Pay, or Google Pay account via Stripe.

• This is not an upfront security deposit. Depending on your issuing bank, a temporary $0.00 or nominal verification authorization may appear briefly and is automatically released.
• Complimentary Grace Period: Return the power bank to any active V-ChargeNow kiosk slot within 10 minutes of release and your eligible rental is free ($0.00). One free rental per checkout email every 24 hours, starting when we confirm your last free return.
• Standard Billing: If your rental exceeds 10 minutes or starts during that 24-hour cooldown, your authorized payment method is automatically billed from release at $4.00/hour (or portion thereof), up to a $20.00 daily maximum per 24-hour period.
• Non-Return & Replacement: Power banks unreturned after 24 hours are subject to a maximum overtime replacement fee of $35.00 billed to the payment method on file.

• 10-Minute Complimentary Grace Period: Return within 10 minutes of release to an active V-ChargeNow kiosk slot and your eligible rental is free. One free rental per checkout email every 24 hours, starting when we confirm your last free return.
• Standard Hourly Rate: Rentals that exceed 10 minutes or start during the 24-hour cooldown are billed from release at $4.00 per hour (or fraction thereof), even if a cooldown rental is returned within 10 minutes.
• Daily Maximum Cap: Accrued hourly rental fees are capped at a maximum of $20.00 per 24-hour cycle, preventing runaway hourly charges.

Power bank units are intended for temporary rental and should be returned to an active kiosk within twenty-four (24) consecutive hours from the release timestamp.

• If a unit is not docked into an active V-ChargeNow kiosk within 24 hours, the rental session converts automatically to an outright hardware purchase.
• Your authorized payment method will be billed a one-time $35.00 flat replacement/buyout fee, and you may keep the power bank for permanent personal use.
• The power bank includes a standard USB-C input port and built-in cables, making it fully rechargeable and reusable with your own power adapters at home.
• Pilot Courtesy Return Policy: At V-ChargeNow's sole discretion—including during designated venue pilot programs—customers who promptly return an undamaged, working power bank to an active kiosk after purchase conversion may be eligible for a courtesy partial refund of $15.00, reducing the net transaction cost to the standard $20.00 daily maximum cap.

• A rental session is officially completed only when the power bank is inserted firmly into an available kiosk slot until the internal mechanical lock engages and the station registers the return.
• Leaving a power bank on top of a station, handing it to venue staff, or failing to engage the locking slot mechanism does not constitute a valid return. You remain responsible for session time until the station successfully detects the locked unit.

• You agree to inspect the power bank upon release and report damaged cables or hardware immediately.
• You must not submerge the power bank in liquids, expose it to fire or high heat, tamper with internal components, or force incompatible cables into devices.
• Power banks are intended strictly for personal consumer device charging (smartphones, tablets, headphones, e-readers).

All power banks and kiosk hardware are provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind.

• To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, V-ChargeNow LLC disclaims all liability for incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, including device hardware damage, data loss, port wear-and-tear, or interruptions caused by third-party device incompatibilities.
• Our maximum aggregate liability for any claim relating to a rental shall not exceed the actual rental amount billed for that transaction.
